I’m inspired by the natural world, curious, and intuitive in my work. I tend to work on new canvas, or salvaged boards. I use acrylic paints mixed with various gel mediums, water based oil pastels, watercolor pencils, lots of mismatched “oops” paints from hardware stores, salvaged tubes of acrylic from thrift shops, and occasionally found objects or pages from deteriorating books. I try to use what is available to me. Resourcefulness is a key in creating work that makes me proud. Upcycled, re-mixed, found, altered and experimental are some of my favorite words.
